Vidya barred from meeting Sabrina Lal
We have long been hearing the top actresses of the Bollywood saying, “I want to play a role of substance.” After Paa last year and enacting Krishna for Ishqiya this year, Vidya is gearing up for her ‘roles of substance.’ Next in the queue for her is ‘No One Killed Jessica.’ This film, as the name suggests, is based on the infamous Jessica Lal case. It is directed by ‘Aamir’ fame Rajkumar Gupta.
The reports say that Vidya wanted to meet Sabrina Lal, the sister of Jessica. That is because that is the role she is playing in the film. But, the director did not allow here to do so. As reported, he explained, “I want Vidya to pick up this role in her own style. I think if she meets Sabrina she might pick out her mannerisms and the body language.”
The second important character of the film is a reporter that is being played by Rani Mukherjee. Earlier there was news that Kareena Kapoor was approached to enact the character of Jessica Lal but she denied the offer. Now a new comer has been taken up in her place. The film is expected to go on the floor by next month.
