Short Kut – Movie Review
This film begins life as comedy, and has some decent one-liners in it, but somehow manages to lose its way within a short time.
Akshay Khanna and Arshad Warsi are among our best comedy artistes in Bollywood. In this film they play con artists who are trying to make a mark in Bollywood , Akshaye with what he believes to be a great script, and Arshad by trying to steal it and present it as his own. A good base for a good comedy, but the cheap dialogues and slapstick comedy routines do not gel together to make it a great film.
Amrita Rao continues to look good but act badly. She has little to do in the film, and unfortunately even in this short role she fails to make an impact.
With excellent scriptwriter like Anees Bazmee and Neeraj Vora, and a veteran like Anil Kapoor as producer, frankly we expected much more from this film and came away disappointed.
