Priyanka Chopra for Greenathon Campaign
After winning a national award for the film ‘Fashion,’ Priyanka Chopra is enjoying a real high in the media. She is now the brand ambassador of NDTV Toyota Greenathon II. Under this campaign, Red Dot Productions are making an animated video that stars Priyanka herself.
The video is called ‘Hawaaien Patte Pani’ and is written by veteran lyricist Gulzar. Music is composed by the magical trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. It focuses on ways to wave water and soil, and reduce pollution.
In the video, Priyanka is trying to work out means to save a barren land. She notices a little sapling growing from a little creek. She hands it over to a little girl who passes it on to the carefree youngsters. Slowly and steadily everything becomes green and happy once again.
Commenting on her new venture, Priyanka said, “Shooting for an animation was great fun. I had to imagine everything standing in front of a chrome screen. We have tried to make the video fun and connect with people at the same time.”
This video would premier on NDTV India and NDTV Profit channels. The first time when this campaign was held it focused on using solar light. It was able to raise Rs. 20 million that were used to provide electricity to 55 villages across the country.
