The story of four different people, in different parts of the country, it delves into the problems faced by young people who feel that they have lost their identity and self-esteem. They fight to regain a balance in their lives and to regain love and trust among those around them. The world treats them callously and unsympathetically, yet they fight to retain their dignity and their confidence and in the process we have four different stories of angst and courage, of turmoil and peace and above all of the resilience of the human mind. Kashmir is the backdrop of betrayal and terrorism, Mumbai is the backdrop of sexual abuse and Bangalore and Kolkatta are the backdrops of complicated personal relationships.
The music directors of the film are Amit Trivedi and Vivek Philip and Rajiv Bhalla, and the lyrics are by Amitabh Verma and Amitabh Bhattacharya. KK is the lead singer of all the songs.
The four main protagonists are Afia, Megha, Omar and Abhimanyu, played by stars such as Juhi Chawla, Shernaz Patel, Rahul Bose, Radhika Apte and Anurag Kashyap among others.
This is likely to be one of non-commercial cinemas best releases, and as Juhi Chawla said in one of her interviews that they promise us a story which will keep us interested till the very end. Small budget content cinemas have lately been doing better than mainstream big-budget films, judging from the reactions of all those who have already seen the film, we can look forward to a good film which makes us think and will also lead to a discourse on subjects which have been taboo so far.
