The Dhoom Machale Team is back, albeit with a few changes. An unanimously favored change is the induction of Aamir Khan into the franchise. It is said that Aamir was bowled over after hearing the script of Dhoom 3 by the script writer of the Dhoom series, Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor) who has also turned director with this third movie of this blockbuster series. Let’s hope Victor finally gets to show his “tashan” with this one. The casting of Aamir as the movie baddie was a casting coup of sorts. Ever since the announcement of Dhoom 3, rumors had been ripe that Shah Rukh Khan would be playing the villain, but the casting of Mr. Perfectionist laid to rest all such rumors. Probably, SRK’s previous stints as the negative person played against him, because Yash Raj Films must surely be looking for something new.
Aamir Khan – A Hero turns Baddie with Dhoom 3
The most amazing part of the whole scene is that Aamir can now claim to be the highest paid actor of the YRF camp. Apart from his usual signing amount (read, at least 1-2 crores), Aamir has also been promised an eye-popping 33% share in the profits of the movie.
Aamir is also said to be lending his voice to a song in the movie though it will only be small part of the whole song. Another birdie brought the news that Katrina Kaif would be playing Aamir Khan’s love interest. It would be interesting to see this fresh and unconventional pairing. The remaining lead cast of the movie would essentially remain the same as the previous two Dhoom movies, that is to say, Abhishek and Uday will be carrying forward their previous roles and characters in the latest movie of this series. Music will be done by Pritam and matching the success of the music albums of the predecessors will certainly be a tough task.
The shooting for DHOOM 3 will start shooting by the end of 2011 and will release by December 2012.
